Technology log wood boiler HVZ-L

Heating with wood used to be tedious and cumbersome. After years of progress, Biotech has developed a firewood boiler that combines modern, comfortable heating with a robust
and cost-effective fuel.

This is how the log boiler HVZ-L works

In a log boiler, wood gasification and wood gas combustion take place in two different combustion chambers. This mode of operation means that a log wood boiler achieves a very high level of efficiency and causes only minimal emissions. The combustion chamber is designed for high temperatures and thus ensures a long service life and easy cleaning. The large filling space is completely lined with panels and thus protects the boiler wall. A log boiler works according to the principle of bottom combustion in combination with the principle of downflow combustion. This means that the flame burns from top to bottom. Since a flame naturally burns upwards, the combustion air must be conveyed through the boiler with a fan. The use of an induced draft fan has the advantage that fewer smoke gases escape when the filling chamber door is opened. The combustion control with lambda probe, as well as the primary and secondary air control drives control the combustion process. The lambda probe controls the oxygen supply, which ensures clean combustion. The heat exchanger transfers the energy from the hot combustion gases to the water.

Lambda probe

The lambda probe measures the sow contained in the exhaust gasmaterial. The measured value is then passed on to a controller, where it is compared with the oxygen content in the atmospheric air. The controller then determines the oxygen requirement for optimal combustion. The air flaps on the boiler are then controlled accordingly.
